How to Download Everand Titles to Windows/Mac Computer: Not as Easy as You Think

Everand service is a new platform but coming from the developer Scribd, it provides a large selection of eBooks, audiobooks, sheet music, magazines and podcasts. I want to say that there are hundreds of Everand fans as they have used Scribd off and on for years.

Everand limits

But every coin has two sides. We can enjoy a large number of titles on Everand during the monthly rent service, but in fact, Everand will make your books or audiobooks unavailable whenever you have reached their limits. It’s so frustrating! That’s why today I am writing this article. Everand is a good choice if we read or listen a lot, however, it would be better if we could download Everand files to our windows or mac computer to backup them for later learning. But things are not as easy as you think.

4 Reasons that you should download Everand titles offline to computer

Reason 1. An eBook or audiobook will be locked out though you’ve saved them

Everand set monthly limits to some eBooks or audiobooks based on your recent reading history, regularly these titles will be marked as  “Available Soon”.

That means you will most likely not be able to finish the book unless you continue the subscription and you must wait until the next month(subscription date).

Another fact is that you can’t even figure out what triggered the limit. Nobody knows.

That absolutely drives you crazy especially when you’ve read the mid book, right? But how to resolve this? Create another account? Repurchase the same book from another store? No, there is no better way than downloading the Everand files to our computer as soon as we save it to the library.

Reason 2. No Everand PC Mac app

Everand officially doesn’t provide the desktop app version. We will be told to download the file to the app and Everand only provides the Android and IOS version app, the windows or mac version are not included.

Reason 3. Everand online viewer doesn’t provide a download option

Though there isn’t a laptop app, it doesn’t mean we are unable to enjoy Everand on our computer. We can directly use the online browser to view the eBooks or play the audiobooks.

Everand online no download

When opening one book or audiobook via Everand online (after clicking on the black button “read now” “listen now”), we can see that there are more options like bookmarks, save/unsale, about and share. However, there is no option to download the file via browser.

Reason 4. Everand titles can be (only) downloaded to IOS and Android apps

If you are using an iPhone/iPad, android or Fire tablet device, you can install the Everand app to enjoy and download everand files for offline listening and reading.

How to download everand titles within the app?

Step 1: Download and install the Everand app to Android, IOS or Fire tablet.

Step 2: Log in to the everand app.

Step 3: Save the book you wish to store offline.

Step 4: Tap the “Download” button on the summary page.

But I don’t recommend you download Everand files to a local device. Reasons are as follows(maybe more):

  •

Titles are stuck(only be opened) with the Everand app.

  •

Downloaded files will take up a lot of local memory space on your device, which will cause many other apps to run slower.

  •

When your Everand subscription expires, all of the Everand titles will stop working unless you decide to resubscribe.

To free some space on your device, or to play Everand eBooks audiobooks without the Everand app, I highly recommend you download Everand to our computer.

And yes, that’s possible with the help of iSummersoft Everand Converter.

It helps: download Everand eBooks to ePub or PDF; Download Everand audiobooks to MP4 audio format; Download Everand sheet music as PDF.

Conclusion

These are a lot of steps I’ve shared. It’s a lot compared to how easy downloading the titles to android ios device. But this is also why this tool does work, it needs an extra step (create a virtual android) for us to download Everand to our computer.

I highly recommend you save your Everand titles to your library first, then use this tool to help download your files to your computer for offline reading or listening. If so, you don’t need to use the Everand app to play them, and you don’t even need to worry about the limits as you’ve backed up them.

But I should disclaimer here, again and again, that please backup your purchases for personal use, don’t share or upload it to third-party platforms.

It’s a tool, but it’s not your goal.
